Two Distinct Environments

Understanding Our 2–3 and 3–6 Classroom Communities

Children develop rapidly between 2 and 6 years. Capstone separates this span into two developmentally calibrated environments to ensure every child is appropriately supported.

Classroom One

Early Primary Classroom (Ages 2 – 3)

A gentle bridge between toddlerhood and the primary classroom. At ages 2 to 3, children are refining language, testing autonomy, and building peer social skills.

Montessori "Jobs": Hands-on tasks that captivate curious minds, refining concentration and fine motor dexterity.
Active Potty Training: Gentle, consistent guidance helping 2-year-olds master bathroom independence with confidence.
Peer Socialization: Early collaborative play, learning to communicate boundaries respectfully, and developing emotional regulation.
Classroom Two

Primary Classroom / Children's House (Ages 3 – 6)

A classic Montessori mixed-age community encompassing preschool and kindergarten-aged children. Younger children are inspired by observing older classmates.

Hands-On Mathematics: Bead bars, spindle boxes, and decimal system apparatus make numbers concrete before paper calculation.
Phonetic Literacy & Writing: Sandpaper letters and moveable alphabets guide children toward writing and natural reading fluency.
Kindergarten Readiness: Individualized lesson plans build academic confidence, sustained attention, and critical thinking.
