Floor Mobility & Age Transition

Designed for infants 6 weeks to 12 months. Children over 12 months who are not yet walking comfortably remain in the Infant room to build stability before transitioning.

Maintaining a 1:4 ratio ensures personalized attention and warm caregiver bonding, allowing staff to respond attentively to each baby's verbal cues and feeding rhythms.

Unhurried Floor Motor Freedom

Classrooms prioritize natural floor movement without restrictive equipment. Low mirrors, soft clean mats, and wooden grasping objects facilitate rolling and crawling safely.

What is the actual caregiver ratio in the infant room? +
Capstone maintains a published 1:4 teacher-to-child ratio in the Infant program to ensure consistent physical care, safe supervision, and attentive interaction for every infant.
Can my baby follow their own feeding and nap schedule? +
Yes. We do not impose rigid group sleep or feeding schedules on infants. Caregivers follow your child's biological rhythms and your family's personal feeding plan throughout the day.
What happens if my child turns 12 months old but isn't walking yet? +
Children over 12 months who are not yet walking independently may remain in our Infant classroom. We do not mechanically force a transition until the child is physically steady and developmentally ready for the Toddler environment.
